As you know, it's recital season here at the studio. As such, we have lots of information for you! We ask that you please read over this carefully, so that all Show Tyme students, parents, friends, and family members can have a fun and enjoyable recital experience!
-Show Tyme is an amazing place to advertise your business! We place ads in our collectible recital programs, on all our marketing materials (digital and in print!), and talk supporting businesses up to all of our (over 120) dance families! But we have a limited number of sponsorship opportunities available. If you’d like to get your business seen by over 1,000 local, potential customers, contact Alex at Info@ShowTymeAcademy.com as soon as possible!
-Dress rehearsal is on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, May 28th, 29th, and 30th, 2019 and is held at the Dennison Theatre (on the UM campus). A technical rehearsal schedule will be included in the May edition of our monthly newsletter, Footnotes. If you need an additional copy of this schedule, please contact the studio. Please review the schedule carefully and plan to bring your student(s) 15 minutes prior to their scheduled time.
-Please bring your student's full costume (including hair pieces) and shoes for the rehearsal. Dressing rooms will be available for changing. No make-up is required for dress rehearsal.
-Feel free to stay and watch your student's dress rehearsal, if you like, but please remain quiet and respectful during the rehearsal and refrain from talking or using cell phones.
-No food or drink (except water) is allowed in the theatre. Also, no food or drink should be consumed while a student is in costume. Snacks are allowed in the backstage green room only (and before a student has put on their costume).
-There is absolutely no photo or video-taking during dress rehearsal. Anyone caught recording the rehearsal will be asked to leave.
-Lastly, if some sort of emergency arises and your student(s) can’t attend dress rehearsal, please let the studio know as soon as possible.Phone (406.203.5896) or email is the best way to contact us. Please do not call or text Miss Christine, Miss Ashley, or any of the instructors directly.
-Tickets for recital are available in advance via our online store, (SquareUp.com/store/ShowTymeStore). Tickets are $15 ($10 for children 2-12). You can purchase your tickets at Show Tyme or online. Seating will be general admission, but if you or a family member are in need of an accessible seat, please contact the studio as quickly as possible.
-Like last year, Show Tyme Shout-Outs are available now! Through our online store, you’re able to purchase a 140 character shout-out to your Show Tyme student, friends, or family member! Send them words of encouragement, an inspirational quote, or even a silly joke to make them giggle. Show Tyme Shout-Outs are a surefire way to make sure your Show Tyme Star feels great as they perform! If you need help with content, Alex will be happy to give some helpful advice, just email!
-We will be having a Silent Raffle during recital, as well! Not only will you be able to watch your little ones dance the night away, but you'll be able to win some amazing prizes, too! We'd love for Show Tyme families and/or businesses to donate baskets, services, or other prizes, as all proceeds go directly back to the studio, which in turn, directly benefit your students! If you'd like to donate, please contact Sandy Whatman at WhatmanS@Hotmail.com.
-We’ll also have handmade Show Tyme roses available for purchase, so you can show your little one just how amazing they were after their performance (while supplies last). Additionally, this year we’re pleased to offer our Dance Star magazine cover, which is a dance magazine cover featuring a front page photo of your Show Tyme Star! A combo purchase of both a handmade rose AND magazine cover is available for a discounted price! Please visit our online store for more information and to purchase!
-And finally, it's important to remember that recital is not just a performance, but also a learning experience for Show Tyme students. So, there will be no parents backstage. Having too many people backstage can affect the show, the performers, the audience, and is also a liability for the Dennison Theatre and its staff. Students must be backstage for the entire act during which they perform. Students only performing in act I are welcomed to leave at intermission and students who only perform in act II are welcomed to watch the first act (but cannot be in costume), before coming backstage at intermission. Please do not come backstage looking for your child. They will find you. Ms. Annika will sign students in and out at the backstage door. ONLY authorized parents can pick children up. We take student safety extremely seriously.
We know this a lot of information to take in, but it's necessary in order to have a successful and fun recital 2019! We're very excited and hope you are too! Please help us in spreading the word about the show; mention Show Tyme on Facebook and Instagram and invite all your friends and family to come support your student(s)!
If you have any questions, don't hesitate to let us know!
